The Cherner Chair Company was founded in 1999, by brothers Benjamin and Thomas Cherner. They are the sons of the original designer of the 1958 Molded Plywood Arm Chair, Norman Cherner. They have been meticulous in their attention to detail as they re-issue the much revered designs of their father. Besides their father’s designs, Benjamin has also designed pieces that coordinate and complement the re-issued masterpieces. All pieces are proudly made in the United States.
The Cherner line encompasses much more than just chairs. Sleek dining tables, consoles, dressers and credenzas are also part of their line. They encompass the same attention to detail, and quality hand assembly, as you would expect from such an iconic brand.
For design creativity, Cherner offers many wood varieties to choose from. All wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests. Protecting our planet is of paramount importance to the Cherner Chair Company. They have intentionally used the highest quality materials and workmanship to ensure that their pieces are legacy quality. They are intended to be handed down from generation to generation. All pieces of the products are replaceable. This means that there is never a reason to discard them.
