RAPSON Mod Livin’ loves the Rapson Greenbelt Rocker (also available as a lounge chair). The thick, comfortable straps and the sexy bentwood rockers beckon you to come and sit a while. You won’t want to leave!
Rapson-Inc is steeped in history. Mid-Century modern royalty are tied to this line of Rockers and Lounge Chairs. Ralph Rapson opened Rapson-Inc. in 1950. The shop featured his own designs as well as designs of renowned colleagues Charles Eames, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia and others.
The son of Ralph Rapson, Toby Rapson, reintroduced the line in 2002 when he gave the iconic bentwood rockers an update and presented them to the world. The sleek lines and iconic silhouette of Rapson’s original designs are apparent in each piece Rapson-Inc. produces.
The chairs are proudly and responsibly made in the United States. The outdoor pieces are made of recycled plastic and the wooden pieces are responsibly sourced using American Black Walnut and Rock Maple. Rapson’s designs are very organic and natural, yet super modern and cool.
70 years after introducing these designs to the world, they are still sought after and revered as the pinnacle of Mid Century Modern Design.
