DENVER BY DESIGN

Denver by Design is a series of events and exhibitions taking place in the Mod Livin' showroom during the month of August. The most exciting will be the DENVER BY DESIGN competition, a juried contest to select the best modern design object, art or furniture created by a Colorado designer. Our goals are two-fold; to bring attention to up and coming talent and to focus on the influence of modern design in our community.

Entries must be original designs in the form of sellable  products/art/furniture. Original prototypes are allowed. At the point of submission, entires can include sketches/drawings, however products selected for the exhibition must be in the form of physical, sellable objects.   Professionals and students are encouraged to enter. Submissions will be accepted anytime from now until the deadline on July 10th, 2009, via email: Denver_by_Design@modlivin.com.  A panel of judges will select the top 25 designs to be showcased in Mod Livin' for the month of August. Designers will also be able to sell their chosen product during the month. Finalists will be notified by July 19th.

In August, a winning design will be selected by the judges for a $1000 prize. We will also award a $250 gift certificate to Mod LIvin to the design that wins the most online votes.
